This 6 week skills group is inspired by the work of Marsha Lanahan, the creator of Dialectical Behavioral Skills Therapy (DBT). We will explore and practice skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.
We welcome anyone who feels drawn to join this group to call us to schedule an intake at: (510) 488-4213. The group fee is $35 per week (some sliding scale spots available). Starts September 17th, 2014 from 4:30 to 6pm at Still Waters 444 34th St, Oakland CA

Paul LeBars (IMF78250 supervised by Mary Owen LMFT14190) offers Holistic, Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy in the East Bay Area. He holds a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from JFK University, and has a strong interest in supporting clients to feel more empowered in their lives. Miranda York (IMF79737 supervised by Rawna Romero LMFT 41466) offers trauma-informed somatic and relational therapy with an anti-opression lens. Miranda has four years of experience facilitating DBT groups for teenagers in a dual diagnosis, residential treatment setting. Miranda works with adults, teens, and children.
